Terms of Service | Eggonomics

These terms are an agreement between you and Emberly Apps ("we", "us"), the operator of Eggonomics. By downloading or using the Eggonomics app or this website you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The app

Eggonomics helps backyard chicken keepers log eggs, record costs and egg sales, keep records of their birds and calculate cost per egg. The free tier includes unlimited birds and flocks, the egg log, costs, bird and health records, and CSV export. Some features need an Eggonomics Pro subscription (section 4).

2. Your account

You can use Eggonomics as a guest. Guest data is tied to that install; if you uninstall before saving your flock to an email, Google or Apple account, you may not be able to recover it. Guest accounts unused for 90 days are deleted.
Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Eggonomics, and old enough in your state to agree to these terms or have a parent or guardian agree for you.

3. Your content

The records and photos you enter are yours. You give us a limited license to store, copy, process and display them only to run the app for you and your household (for example, to back them up, sync them and calculate your numbers). You can export them to CSV at any time and delete them whenever you like. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to, or anything unlawful.

4. Eggonomics Pro subscriptions

Eggonomics Pro costs $3.99 per month or $24.99 per year (US dollars; the price shown in the app at purchase applies). There is no free trial.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies; we cannot issue them directly.
A household owner's subscription unlocks shared features for the household's members. If it ends, members keep read-only access to the household's records; nothing is deleted.
We may change prices for future periods. Apple or Google will notify you as their rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

5. Household sharing

The owner of a household invites members and sets their roles. Members can see all of the household's records and the display names of who logged each entry. The owner can remove members. Only invite people you trust with your flock's records.

6. Not veterinary, financial or tax advice

Eggonomics is a record-keeping and calculation tool. Health records, medication and egg withdrawal flags, care reminders and the AI photo check are informational only and are not veterinary advice. The photo check gives general observations written by an AI service; it cannot diagnose or treat a bird and can be wrong. If you are worried about a bird, contact a vet. The app never recommends doses or withdrawal periods; always follow your veterinarian and the product label. Cost figures depend on what you enter and are estimates, not financial or tax advice.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app: no reverse engineering except as the law allows, no attempts to access other people's data, no interference with our servers, and no automated access beyond normal use of the app.

8. Changes and availability

We are improving the app and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep it available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Your data on your phone keeps working offline, and we will give reasonable notice before any change that removes access to your records, so you can export them.

9. Ending these terms

You can stop using Eggonomics and delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, and will tell you why when we reasonably can.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Eggonomics is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of birds, eggs, profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Eggonomics in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded Eggonomics from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, except that if the app fails to meet an applicable warranty you may notify Apple for a refund of its purchase price (if any). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use must also follow the App Store's Usage Rules.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We will post updates on this page with a new "Last updated" date and tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use Eggonomics after a change means you accept the updated terms.
